Black Blood LestatIt’s not often I do investigative reporting. I prefer the more editorial leanings of this calling but I couldn’t resist this tid bit when it landed on my doorstep. I even went out of my way to investigate whether this was merely spurious conjecture or the real deal. I have to tell you my avid readers, it’s not looking good for Lestat. From my super secret source I was given a location where Lestat was luring every human he could muster just to garner the special blood fattening power he gets from God Ravenblack when he turns new humans to this dark way of life. You would think Lestat, in this Saintly form would have learned his lesson. God Ravenblack has already stripped him of everything a vampire could possibly be stripped of for one such thumbing of his nose at the great power of this city. But does he really dare to do it again, in another form, so soon after being stripped of his powers, his life and his body? The answer, is a unequivocal yes. Yes, he has. I personally didn’t believe it myself. I was a skeptic that required convincing until I was given a card with this written on it by way of proof “www.life-blood.vze.com/”. God Ravenblack has very few rules that we must abide. There are no ten commandments of goodness for us but he does require that we are judicious in how we turn humans to unlife. In fact, it is one of the few transgressions that will immediately see you smite by the hand of our God. So, let me detail for you how this is working. Lestat lures unsuspecting humans with the above calling card to this ‘one’ location, how he gets them there, I don’t know but instead of the location they think they’re going to, they’re re-routed to another location where they are snapped up by him, made his childer so he can gain the blood bonus God Ravenblack gives us for turning humans to our world. Which is very very naughty. We are all sinners. We are evil and there is little in this unlife that will move us beyond our own selfish purpose except for God Ravenblack and the edicts he has set down. For a moment let us put aside God Ravenblack’s edicts and look at Saint Lestat (who is obviously not quite so saintly) and the fact he’s been black blooding to get himself back to where he was at before God Ravenblack smite him the first time. Which maybe wouldn’t be all that bad either if it weren’t for the fact it’s widely known that the Scions of Phoenix, where he is Second in Command, finds black blood abhorrent. In fact, Murrz Ramirez, Lestat’s own Sire and Clan Leader has spoken out against the act many times in public. Does Murrz know that his Second in Command is getting his blood back so quickly in such a dodgy manner? I would think not. I happen to adore Murrz and if I remember his stance on such action, it was a firm and unwavering, no. For me this wasn’t an immediate report. For hours I sat in contemplation. I researched and I used my powers to second sight Saint Lestat and with each second sight the picture opened before me in unassailable truth. This was the state of Saint Lestat’s childer on 12 May 2008. This was the state of Saint Lestat’s childer when I second sighted him tonight: The truth that I saw, was that Lestat has been severing the 'extra' childer and new childer are gained just as quickly. Why would anyone do such a thing you ask? Why indeed, except an obvious answer that points to an obvious truth. An ugly truth. He’s been through the wringer, poor Lestat. It may even seem as if this publication were picking on him but I’d also submit that he seems to be bringing the attention on himself with such foolishness. That it really isn't the fact we're picking on him at all. But that his decisions have caused his own trials. Sad. But evidently quite true in this instance. When asked for comment Saint Lestat was quite short with the writer, choosing not to offer much on the above beyond this pithy comment “I, for one, don't understand the Grim's recent obsession with me” and cumulating with a stern and reproachful “I am saying, that I did not purposefully black blood and that's all you'll be getting out of me today, and ever. Good unlife, Damari.” Saint Lestat says he didn’t and isn’t a purveyor of black blood. I've never known him to be a liar and I've always believed him to be honourable. So at the end of the day it’s up to you as readers to make a decision one way or another. It is not for us at the newspaper to judge lest we ourselves be judged, but to offer the news up as we receive it and let the public make their own decisions.
