And you probably thought I'd forgotten about my interview series didn't you? No, I hadn't and I've had this one up my sleeve for a while. That's what happens when you plan ahead. I'd like to welcome Andre D'dary to the ranks of those who have honoured us with an insight into their minds for this Introspective Perspective series. He's well known for his biting wit and in a city where wit and biting are not always mutually inclusive it is hardly a small thing that he's known for both.

Like him or not, and many have held the 'or not' belief, you can't help but wonder sometimes what makes him tick. We hope you enjoy reading this glimpse into the unlife of Andre D'dary the vampire I lost my only girl childe over and who also wears my T-Shirt to bed.

Who is Andre D’dary?
I am he, and he is me. We are inextricably linked, and yet separate. Andre D'dary is the form into which I have evolved from my mortal incarnation. I wouldn't say I suffer from a split personality, mainly because I do not, but I would say that as time has gone on, my humanity has slowly died and my vampiric nature has come to the fore, rendering me who you see before you.

What does it mean to you to be a D’dary?
What does it mean to you to be a Xeneri? The answers, possibly, will be the same. To me, it isn't just a matter of blood. To me... it is everything. I have a home, I have friends, I have family... I have my Annabelle. I have everything I want and need, and more besides. But as to what it truly means to be D'dary? It means more than there are words to say. I said once, whilst quoting Oscar Wilde, that only those who are envious of something criticise it. I think it still holds true. Over the past three months, we have been fighting near constantly... and we're still going. This points at both material wealth, of which there is an abundance, and a tight familial bond. Being a D'dary is being the best. Others may not see it that way... but really, the only opinion I truly value is my own.

The bloodline has had a bumper year and has been seen in the public light walking to the beat of their own drum. If you were to break down the aims and aspirations of the bloodline, what would they be?
We aim to misbehave. And have a little fun in the process.

I know you’re very pro your bloodline, which is commendable. In your opinion when it comes to the crunch how is a bloodline better during times of war than a clan? What are the pitfalls of one versus the other?
I don't think there are any benefits or pitfalls of one which outweigh the other. Yes, in a bloodline, you can for a succour chain. But historically, many clans have been made up of members from a certain bloodline meaning that a succour chain can be formed there also. This is the reason, I believe, why clans still exist, even though most disputes are between bloodlines lately, it would seem. The argument can, and probaly will, rage on for years yet. Personally, I really don't care.

You’ve been likened to Lucius. I have to say that I don’t see you that way, but I know that how some see you. Do you think this is true? What do you think other vampires see in you that is specifically ‘Lucius’ like?
I don't think I am like Lucius. So I would have no idea. Perhaps my way with words? You probably knew Lucius better than most, so I'm going to have to trust your judgement when you say that you don't see me that way.

Do you want to be the next Lucius? Or is that just a distasteful possibility all things considered?
No. I mean, I don't want to be 'the next [Anyone]'. I want to be remembered for me. Sure, there are some who I may have modelled myself after in some respects, and some which I admire greatly, Lucius amongst them, but I would never want to be remembered for aping another's achievements.

Do you really sleep in my T-Shirt?
Yes. Although it is technically my tshirt, as I made it for our protest at the VNN.

Can you please give it back?
No.

Diamonds or Emeralds?
Diamonds. Infinitely more stylish. Emeralds are so... tacky. Rather like gold. I can't stand the metal. I'm a silver kind of guy.

Soy Latte or Tall Black?
Tall black.

Whip, Flogger, Feather?
Depends what the intended use is, does it not?

I think he should give my T-Shirt back don't you? Yes, I think so too. Exactly, he should give it back post haste.
