Eyes Wide ShutWhat’s ‘news’ and what isn’t? Do the vampires of this fair city only consider items newsworthy if Holy Waters are involved? We’ve had a small rash of ‘news’ items come around lately, yet none really went reported in detail, if at all. Sartori. Smited by Lord Ravenblack himself. I’ve seen the obituaries. ~yawns~ How does his wife feel? How do his childer and close friends feel? Will he be back? Is he in contact from the other realm with those who might channel his voice to us? Is he too embarrassed to come back? Damari creates a faux Shadow Court. This didn’t seem to go over well with ex-SCers, but she also brought to light that Amaranthe is keyholder to the Church of Blood. Why hasn’t she rebuilt? Does she plan on trying to resurrect the old Church? Will Moirai ever learn to shut his mouth and quit being a poser? One publication took a stab at an ‘interview’, but well, it falls short when its only one figurehead speaking and no bru ha ha from the ‘other side’. Nemesis infiltrates the Hall of Rogues. A task she claimed to do out of boredom. She DID make it into the main hall for a few months before outing herself. Why didn’t she stick around longer and cause some real damage? Why’d she let HoR off with just a little embarrassment and bruised ego rather than tearing the place apart? And how do HoRers feel about the ruse. Yes, we’ve seen Rel saving face, just as Nems predicted in her original statement, but really, are all friendly ties now torn asunder? Is there Holy Waterings in Nemesis future? The ghettos are demolished and paved over, opening up more space for the ‘burbs’. This has some vampires in a tizzy just because they have to follow a few simple rules. It is opening whole new doors for others in the socializing department. What does the former ghetto rat think of it all? What does the suburbanite think of it all? These are all news stories in my humble opinion, yet no publications or networks have really gotten into the meat of things. Now that they’ve all been listed nice and neatly, other publications just might feel a little foolish now, having missed them or not really looked hard enough. ~ding~ Your time is up. It’s a sad time for journalism I fear. By The Open Eye at 2008-10-11 02:06 | Ravenblack | Editorial | login or register to post comments | 316 reads
