My Name is... What? There are vampires in this city you want to hug, because they're huggable sorts. Those who impress you with their honour and their integrity. There are vampires who you don't know but observe from afar and envy in your ignorance and flagrant hero worship. I think this is one of those moments. I've already gone on about Awards ceremonies, that's not what this is about. But I was rather amused that I managed to win yet another award for being nothing more than who I am. You can call my opinion inflated, egocentric self flagellating bids for attention but it hasn't done me a damned bit of harm. There is infamy in honesty, there is integrity in opinion and honour in unwavering ideals. I am by no means an ideal or something to attempt to attain. But I give you this to digest for a while, let it sit in your cerebral vortex to fire off those electrical charges of inspiration. Are you who you are to the people who watch you. Does your personality fit into more than a cookie cutter facsimile of what you think you should look like to those who watch you. Maybe my dynamic is not so much a unique ability solely owned by me, but more a product of my choice to be as true to me as it is possible for me to be. Quoted from The Ravenblack and White: Miss Raincloud She's always there to rain on your parade and put you in your place. She may seem all doom and gloom, but honestly this gal keeps a lot of us on our toes. This years Miss Raincloud Award goes to none other than Damari! Congrats Mrs. Jones I don't prescribe to the notion that everyone can attain the level of citywide recognition I have. I'm not even sure that's possible but what I do think is important is that you are you. There is no touchy feely psycho-babble here. I don't care whether you take this nugget of wisdom and run off to use it to better the world. It's irrelevant to me what is done with this precious knowledge, or not as the case may be. But I'll tell you this much. If you can't break out of the shell of insecurity, doubt and apathy, then the only future that will hold true for you is one of the vampire whose nose is pressed up against the glass ceiling of someone else's infamy. Choose to be who you are. Do not apologise for it. Do not compromise what that means. And stand beside your choices, the good and the bad. Integrity is born first in the heart of the person who upholds their own selves and the respect, even for being just who you are. Will follow. I've won two awards. I could give a fuck. What I do like. Is that they are given, by peers, solely, because I was true to myself. Can you say the same of yourself?
