It’s funny what you pick up, the things that stand out and make you go hhrmmm… I was cruising the siring threads, albeit irregularly (and reluctantly) but in my esteemed position, it’s always important to have at least a half assed eye on who is swapping who for whom.

And our darling Sartori caught my eye. So recently returned from his six feet under foray he was always going to be one to watch to see what he’ll get up to and lets face it, he’s been a very busy boy hasn’t he?

Let us take a look at the siring frenzy that’s been going on shall we?

Well, we’ll mention the stayers first. The Mia’s and the Rena’s and the Lekky makes three. His little trio of confidants, lovers and avant garde. I’m ignoring the two little Sarty & Duckman for now, cause all bloodlines, like my Orphius are cannon fodder we care little for.

Added to that in recent months shall we count the ways?

Naimara-sama - Welcomed back to the fold second siring here. A Childer who didn’t have the staying power to remain when Sartori was buried. Does that sting just a little. They’d probably say no, but the truth is, she didn’t. No matter what she says now.

The loving pairing joins the D’dary fold together, along with an unknown SerenaMoon.

And last but by no means least Annabelle The Lady in White returns to the D’dary fold creating the D’dary-Adairs? It’s quite a feather in the cap of Sartori this one, not wholly unexpected, in fact my complete lack of surprise is pretty telling. But worth mentioning is the fact Annabelle does bring with her the whole of her Adair line of;

Sartori, you just gotta love him don’t you? He’s this small little elfin thing that hares about like a rabbit on speed. It’s an endearing trait, one that has earned him his stripes in many a situation. And now, it seems that he’s pulling together another healthy D’dary bloodline, the disenfranchised vampires of the city whose whispered potential is at its nebulous beginnings waiting for a spark of inspiration they can’t quite manage themselves.

Who have been inspired by his return to sire as well? Adding to the D’dary fold little additions that swell the ranks even further.

Should we count them? Give them all names and histories? Do we see what this will mean for the city if they managed to pull together enough force to do something for the “Lulz”?

You have Irk’s Decora who came to my attention in her attendance of the D’dary binding. Bound to SaintAmara, child of Liski, Sired to WDYS another Ferryman connection. Every new connection breeds a new connection, every cord that is severed to reshape its intention is a reality we need to be aware of.

Maybe I’m a bored ennui soaked conspiracy theorist with delusional tendencies. There is always room for the fact I may be wrong, but I give you this;

The vampires in this city who feel themselves disenfranchised from larger clans, who rail against the glut of super power structures are getting antsy. They want action, they want a leader to polarise their dissatisfaction and their impatience.

If ever there was a chance for it to happen, it would be with Sartori and his familial connections. If he were to bring in The Ferrymen (all ten of them), his line, disengage from the modus operandi that only Clan can topple clan, call in the experience markers that sit in his line to lead, then it may be possible.

Hell, more than possible for it to become a reality, cause lets face it, those that are clamouring for a chance to join this line have been sitting around this city since he departed wondering what the hell they’re going to do with themselves.

Too individual to join clans. Too disengaged from clans to find them relevant. Too whatever it is that separates them, means they’ll shoot from the hip and ask questions later. What is blood to those whose blood has been sitting unused, untempered, untried for years.

Boredom does render result after a while and in its own fashion and I have a sneaky feeling, Sartori and his trusty trio are going to herald a new diversion for this unsavoury city.

My only question is what stupid word are they going to call it, and irritate us with their constant use of it.

But maybe I’m just an old conspiracy theorist yelling doomsday messages from a street corner.

That’s always a possibility too.
